Message From Our Founder/Ceo

Mitch Prager

February is the month of love, and at Soberman’s Estate, love is at the heart of everything we do.

Our “secret” to success is simple—but not easy—and it begins with love.

We love men who struggle with alcoholism, though we deeply loathe the disease itself. We love men battling addiction, while standing firmly against addiction’s destruction. Too often, a man can be met with genuine care and compassion and still be unable to feel love for himself. In those moments, we hold love for him—sometimes until he can begin to hold it for himself. Just as importantly, we help him learn how to do that.

We often hear from family members who share how difficult it can be to love their addicted or alcoholic loved one based on past behaviors and pain. We gently invite families to separate the person from the disease—to look into his eyes and see the goodness, the humanity, and the love that still exists beneath the struggle.

As you read our February newsletter, we hope you feel that love reflected back to you. Thank you for being part of this journey with us. We wish you love, patience, and hope as you continue your own path forward.
