Expressive Arts Therapist

Originally from Maryland, Roy served in the United States Marine Corps with most of that time spent in Arizona. He left the Marines after being stationed in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina and spent several years in the Winston-Salem area to pursue educational opportunities in fine arts, as well as advertising and graphic design.  Roy returned to Arizona in 2012 and began studying psychology at Northern Arizona University.  He went on to receive a Master of Arts in Counseling with a concentration in Expressive Arts Therapies from Ottawa University.

Roy found that studying and making art was a life changing and likely life saving endeavor and he enjoys sharing this gift with others.  He is experienced in facilitating expressive arts groups and individual counseling, working with trauma, substance use, sexual issues, and love addiction.  He is trained in Pia Mellody’s PIT model for Codependency.
