Thomas Gazda, MD, FAPA
At Soberman’s Estate, individualized treatment is the cornerstone of our approach to substance use disorder and co-occurring issues. As an expert in his field, Dr. Gazda has board certifications in family practice, psychiatry and addiction medicine with special expertise in treating anxiety, affective and psychotic disorders. He is also a fully trained psychoanalyst and has trained in group relations. His experience includes applying psychodynamic principles to a variety of treatment modalities including crisis intervention, short and long-term psychotherapy, couples therapy, group therapy, psychotherapy supervision in conjunction with pharmacotherapy. Dr. Gazda has become highly proficient in cutting edge pharmacotherapy through his clinical trials research work and collaboration with over 20 major pharmaceutical companies as well as extensive clinical practice. His practice also is in applying complementary approaches to recovery, such as Native American healing, meditation, nutrition and yoga. In his free time he enjoys long-distance running, yoga, travel, poetry and living a vegan lifestyle.
