Schedule FAQ
What does a typical day look like?
Clients of Soberman’s Estate benefit from a comprehensive therapeutic approach with all medical, clinical, holistic and spiritual modalities on site, and each treatment program is highly individualized. Click Here for a sample daily schedule.
Can I have visitors?
Yes, all scheduled visitations must be approved by staff. We do not accept guests without notice in order to ensure the safety of our clients and staff, and to maintain scheduled treatment. Additionally, family therapy is offered in person, and virtually.
What will I do in my free time?
Clients are given assignments to further their treatment independently, such as reading suggested materials and responding to personalized journaling prompts. Clients will have designated time to work on their profession, though they can also use their free time for work. Clients may swim in the pool, use the gym, practice their swing on our putting green, play ping pong, basketball, walk our labyrinth, meditate, read, nap, sunbathe, bond with other clients and staff, or participate in any safe activity that will further their wellness, like spending time with the horses, chickens, dogs or gardening in our greenhouse.
Do you have Doctors?
Yes. Our Medical Director, Dr. Thomas Gazda, is board certified in Family Practice, Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine, with special expertise in treating anxiety, affective, and psychotic disorders. Dr. Gazda is an expert in his field, read more about his career here.
Our Psychiatrist Dr. Michael Vines has over 20 years of clinical experience healing a diverse population, including those struggling with addiction. Additionally, he provides supervision to other mental health providers and teaches medical, physician assistant, and nurse practitioner students.
How often will I see a physician? A family counselor? A Therapist?
This depends on your individualized treatment plan. Each client receives three to five hours of one-on-one therapy per week, and group therapy daily. Medical doctors and nurses are seen as needed. Counselors provide family therapy as needed (virtually during the pandemic).
Who will be involved with my treatment?
Clients will interact with our Medical Director, Licensed Professional Counselors, nurses, operations team, and specialized treatment providers such as our yoga teacher, equine therapist, executive chef, NFL Fitness Coach, and more. Our caring team brings their talent in a compassionate, ethical, supportive way to help men heal. Meet the team here.
