Accommodations FAQ

"...The environment is exactly what a man struggling with addiction needs and deserves.  They provided comfortable accommodations, privacy, five star cooking, and a variety of treatment modalities delivered by a truly caring and experienced staff.  He was given a safe space to effectively change his life for the better.  I am forever grateful to Mitch and the entire team at Soberman’s for helping my brother. You saved his life."

Accommodations FAQ

Can you meet my special dietary needs?

Yes, our Executive Chef spends time with each client prior to, or soon after admission to discuss dietary needs, allergies, and preferences, and is experienced in various accommodations. We can accommodate kosher, halal and other requests as well.

I don’t want anyone to know I’m in rehab. Is Soberman’s Estate really private?

Soberman’s Estate is very secluded and private. Our property, including the outdoor equestrian facilities, swimming pool, patios, gardens, in-pool dining, grotto, fire-pit, labyrinth, and putting green, is surrounded by a five-acre fence and by miles of Sonoran Desert preserve. Soberman’s Estate hosts no more that 10 clients at any given time, and these clients are equally concerned about their privacy.

Where do clients live?

Clients live onsite. We have a 10-bed maximum capacity with shared suites and private suites. No room has more than two beds. All modalities are onsite, clients do not have to transport anywhere for treatment. All meals are made fresh by our executive chef onsite as well. Occasionally our clinical team takes clients on group hikes in our beautiful Sonoran Desert.

Will I have my own room?

We offer private rooms, and two-bed rooms. For availability, please contact our Admissions Director, Justin Fisse, at 480-351-6749 or justin@sobermansestate.com.

Is the food good?

Yes. Our chefs have a diverse background, and possess a passion for farm-to-table food. All meals are hand-made from scratch. We also have chickens on site that provide fresh eggs, as well as our own greenhouse full of fresh fruit and vegetables.

Oftentimes losing a balanced diet is one of the first effects of a substance use disorder. Clients are invited to participate in cooking classes, as well as request special dishes to eat. Learn more about our culinary excellence.

Is there a gym?

Yes. Our gym is complete with weights, strength equipment, a treadmill, a stationary bike, core and stability balls, resistance bands, a punching bag, an inversion chair, yoga mats, blocks, and blankets. Clients of Soberman’s Estate receive physical fitness training from NFL Coach Carl Hargrave

In regard to physical activities, clients may also participate in swimming, putting green, equestrian therapy with our Equine and Meditation Coach Janice, yoga with our Therapeutic Yoga Instructor Gretchen, and hiking with our clinical staff.

Do you have a personal trainer?

Yes. Clients regularly train with NFL Coach Carl Hargrave, or someone on his training team. Some sessions are one on one, others are small groups.

Is there a pool?

Yes. Our resort pool features in-pool dining, jacuzzi, and a grotto with a waterfall which clients often use for meditation and muscle relaxation.

What if I can't sleep?

Many clients have gotten the best sleep of their lives at Soberman’s Estate. This is because they have detoxed from toxic substances, embrace a routine of healthy activities, and have a presidential suite custom-made mattress. If sleep is still not achieved, staff will offer hot infused natural beverages, essential oils, weighted sleep masks, weighted blankets and if necessary, our Medical Director will prescribe appropriate medication.

Will I have a chance to ride the horses?

Yes. Our Equine Therapy and Meditation Coach Janice Story trains fellow Equine Therapists. Read more about our Equine Therapy program here

Do I have to make my own bed?

We encourage, support and recommend that clients make their own bed daily. Staff washes all terry and linens. Here is a video of why we suggest clients make their bed (0:47-2:15).
